***Throughout the 8 years of having our annual retreat, we have never raised the registration fee.  Although we have incurred increases in prices in all areas.  This being said, we have no choice but to raise our prices this year. Before doing this we have spent several  days reviewing this year's cost.  Costs have gone up each year and excessively this year due to the pandemic and inflation in our industry as well as other industries.  We have also researched similar retreats in the sewing, embroidery and quilting community and have found them to have prices from $550 and up and these retreats are not all inclusive.

Please Note: COVID has changed the way we do things. For those of you who have visited the shop since COVID started,  taken a class or attended one of our events know that we require masks to be worn. This precautionary measure is for the safety of our customers, our staff and myself. At this current time I do not know what the COVID situation will be in December.  Currently we require masks to be worn.  If the situation changes then we will adjust our procedures. Many of our customers have opted to wear plastic shields that they have purchased in various places. These shields go on like a pair of glasses and in most cases relieve any mask wearing  issues you may have. If you need more information on these shields please feel free to contact the shop at 954-987-8827.

To make this mask wearing part of our fun weekend - we will be doing a mask challenge for a very special prize.

About Sue O'Very Pruitt

Hi I am Sue. Im a BERNINA Ambassador, Aurifil thread designer, teacher, DIME Columnist, Blogger, published author, Notion junkie, sewing and In the Hoop pattern designer and artist. Im mamma to my sweet Heidi in Sunny Florida, we love to create together and she is my muse and inspiration. I get some of my best ideas from her. Sewing has been apart of my lift since I was 6 years old and I found out my grandmother, Natalie, was a designer in New York City in the 40s.
I began my professional career as a costume designer at Busch Gardens, Tampa, Fl. After years of working as a costume designer, I became a sales manager for a sewing machine dealer. While enjoying the home sewing industry, I wanted to get back into the fashion industry. I worked for a leather manufacturer and spent most of my time in China on the factory floor as their Creative Director. Once the business changed direction I was once again searching for a place to share my talent. I landed a Technical Designer position for VF Image wear working with Harley Davidson and Team sports apparel and worked there until my daughter was born.
